Job Summary
Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, moving patients, and changing linens. Maintain active nursing aide certification in the state of operation and demonstrate knowledge of age-related resident needs. Work as a supportive team member with patience and a cheerful disposition to handle difficult residents while relating information concerning resident conditions. Full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities are available across multiple shifts in Teaneck, NJ, with a salary range of $17.50 to $25 per hour. Candidates must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Required Qualifications
- Active nursing aide certification in the state of operation
- Experience with patients of all ages in a SNF setting
- Certified or state tested Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the state
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
- Supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept
- Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm
- Willingness to handle difficult residents
- Ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition
