Job Summary
Provide comprehensive patient care for Hospice Home Care recipients by assisting with activities of daily living, feeding and hydration as needed, ambulation and positioning, and comfort measures. Perform adjunct care including enemas, dressings, surgical preparations, ice/heat therapy, and application of restraints as applicable. Monitor patient stability by checking vital signs and recording intake/output, transport patients as needed, document actions and observations, maintain confidentiality, adhere to policies and professional standards, and pursue ongoing education and licensure to enhance the nursing department and hospital reputation.
Required Qualifications
- Certification with accredited training course through the State of California
- current certification through American Heart Association in Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR)
- 2 years of nursing assistant experience
- BLS/CPR Certification
