Job Summary
Certified Nursing Assistant needed for Assisted Living Facilities and Rehabilitation Centers in Northern California. Part-time, full-time, and per-diem basis. Shifts include Day, Evening, and Overnight. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living (feeding patients, ambulating, turning and positioning, providing water between meals), administering enemas and dressings, monitoring vital signs and intake/output, transporting patients, responding to call lights, documenting actions, maintaining patient confidentiality, adhering to hospital policies, and upholding JCaho standards. Requires California CNA certification, current CPR/BLS certification, 2 years of nursing assistant experience, knowledge of anatomy and physiology, professional bedside manner, and effective communication. Education and licensure require certification through a CA-accredited program and ongoing education opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- California CNA certification
- Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification
- 2 years of nursing assistant experience
- Certification with accredited California training course
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Friendly and professional bedside manner
- Effective oral, written, and reading communication
- Understanding of legal implications of patient care
- BLS/CPR certification
