Job Summary
Under the supervision of an RN or LPN, the CNA assists with direct resident care and supportive services within the scope of practice, including vital signs, personal hygiene, meals and nutrition support, and creating a safe, clean environment. Responsibilities include observing residents, reporting health changes to the supervising nurse, maintaining documentation, adhering to infection control and HIPAA regulations, and participating in ongoing education and in-service trainings. Must have completed an accredited Nursing Assistant Program and be licensed in WA; CPR/BCLS current; long-term care experience preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Successfully completed an accredited Nursing Assistant Program
- Currently licensed by the WA state CNA licensing entity
- Current CPR/BCLS certification
- Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
- Must be able to communicate effectively with the healthcare team
- Must pass criminal background check and state abuse/fraud registry checks
- Ability to perform duties with flexibility and adapt to changes
