Job Summary
Provide great patient care by answering calls, assisting with daily activities and personal hygiene, and turning bedridden patients. Review dietary restrictions and allergies to ensure appropriate food intake, then measure and record fluid intake, urinary, and fecal output. Record vital signs and examine patients for issues like wounds or bruising, while reminding them to take medications and reporting behavioral changes or symptoms to staff. Stay current on CNA training and facility policies. Requires State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification, current CPR, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
- Current CPR (American Heart Association)
- Nursing degree from a CNA program
- Ability to think and work independently and with direction, and communicate with staff members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Current identification
- Comfortable using a computer
- Excellent personal hygiene
