Job Summary
Provide personal care including baths, oral hygiene, and toileting while maintaining patient living areas and preparing nutritious meals. Monitor vital signs, assist with ambulation and medication administration, and document observations for the interdisciplinary team. Complete annual in-service training and attend case conferences to discuss patient care plans. Maintain valid driver's license and current CPR certification to travel to patient sites in Colorado Springs.
Required Qualifications
- Must have successfully completed a training and competency evaluation program that is approved by the respective state as meeting all requirements and listed in good standing in the state nurse registry
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification
- Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene
- The ability to drive and/or have access to transportation for agency related travel
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
- Maintain automobile insurance coverage
- Have access to an automobile
