Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under supervision in state-operated medical settings, assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral care), mobility (repositioning, transferring, use of wheelchairs/walkers), feeding/hydration, and monitoring vital signs (temperature, BP, pulse, respiration) with accurate documentation in medical charts/EHRs. Responsibilities include observing patients for changes, reporting concerns to nurses, preparing/cleaning equipment, maintaining infection control and sanitary conditions, and supporting nursing teams to improve patient comfort and care quality. Requires a high school diploma or GED and an active Arkansas CNA certification with ongoing continuing education.
