Job Summary
Certified Nursing Assistant in acute neuro at Ochsner Health. Provides basic patient care under licensed nurse supervision, participates in maintaining patient safety, and may perform constant observation as needed. Requires CNA certification and BLS within 30 days of hire, CPI within 30 days, and demonstrates strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to patient populations. Duties include supporting plan of care delegated by nursing staff, maintaining a safe patient care environment, documenting tasks, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Flexible schedule and hospital-based environment are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Current state CNA certification
- BLS from the American Heart Association to be obtained within 30 days from hire
- CPI to be obtained within 30 days from hire
- Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) including proficiency with computers and documentation
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Flexible work schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekends, holidays, on call)
