Job Summary
Provide outstanding patient care and physical support for residents on a daily basis, including assisting with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene. Answer patient calls to determine the best course of help, turn and reposition bedridden patients, and ensure appropriate diet by reviewing restrictions and allergies. Obtain information from medical staff regarding treatment plans, measure vital signs, and record intake, output, and behavioral observations. Examine patients for medical issues such as wounds or bruising, remind patients to take medications, and report changes to nursing staff. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of facility policies and procedures while working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
- Current CPR (American Heart Association)
- Nursing degree from a CNA program
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Current identification
- Ability to think and work independently and with direction
- Ability to communicate with staff members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Comfortable using a computer
- Excellent personal hygiene
