Job Summary
Provide direct patient care under licensed nurse supervision by taking vital signs, assisting with personal hygiene and activities of daily living, and documenting changes in condition. Pass out nourishments and water as scheduled, answer call lights within established timeframes, and maintain patient safety while following nurse instructions and compliance policies. Float to other units as assigned to meet fluctuating census needs and provide floor orientation to new employees. Maintain required certifications and mandatory skill updates.
Required Qualifications
- Clear and Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification to practice in the state of Florida
- Medication Administration Training (6 hours) for Assisted Living Facility (ALF) if applicable
- CPR certification
- Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care
- Must be able to read, write and understand the English language
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year experience preferred
