Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, toileting, bathing, grooming, and feeding while maintaining clean linens and clothing. Perform routine rounds, read 24-hour logs, and verify resident attendance for meals. Deliver meals, prepare residents for activities and appointments, and manage belongings during move-in or transfer. Respond promptly to call lights, report changes in resident conditions, and support evacuation during crises. Maintain infection control compliance, document care accurately, and follow all safety, sanitation, and code of ethics policies. Work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a State-approved CNA program
- Currently certified/registered in applicable state with active certification in good standing
- CPR certification (must be current upon hire or obtained during Orientation)

- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Knowledge of nursing aide practices and procedures
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing aide functions in an assisted living community
- Ability to respond to call lights promptly
- Ability to assist with evacuation of residents and support residents in times of crisis
- Ability to accurately document and chart residents care
- Ability to assist residents with baths, showers, personal grooming, feeding, and toileting
- Ability to lift, turn, move, position and transport residents
- Ability to communicate and function in an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk and move intermittently during working hours
- Ability to lift 35 lbs floor to waist
- Ability to lift 35 lbs waist to shoulder
- Ability to lift and carry 35 lbs
- Ability to push/pull 35 lbs
Desired Qualifications
