Job Summary
Prioritize and deliver basic patient care, including bathing, toileting, feeding, and grooming. Perform and document vital signs, measure intake and output, and assist in transferring patients using proper body mechanics. Maintain patient rooms and equipment in a clean, safe, and organized manner while adhering to infection prevention standards. Report observed changes in patient condition to nursing personnel and respond promptly to calls and requests. Complete required trainings, maintain regular attendance, and work during staffing emergencies or inclement weather as needed. This role supports ClearSky Health's mission to transform lives for patients with disabling injuries and illnesses.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in inpatient hospital setting
- Current state CNA certification
- BLS certification
- Knowledge of current clinical operations and procedures
- Knowledge of appropriate Infection Prevention and proper body mechanics
- General computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management
- Critical thinking skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and complete complex tasks
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection prevention standards
- Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality
- Ability to work closely and professionally with others at all levels of the organization
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, push, and pull for prolonged periods
- Gross and precise motor functions
- Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs
- Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care
- Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard
- Close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be available to work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies
- Must maintain regular attendance in keeping with assigned work schedule
- Must complete required trainings, as assigned
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience
