Job Summary
Provide residents with the highest quality direct routine care in all activities of daily living under LPN or RN supervision. Perform basic nursing, personal care, and restorative services including bathing, grooming, vital signs monitoring, feeding, and transfers. Uphold resident rights by reporting abuse, documenting care accurately per QAPI standards, and maintaining infection control protocols. Facilitate resident independence through training in self-care, use of assistive devices, and range of motion maintenance. Ensure call lights are answered promptly, follow safety policies for lifting and equipment use, and communicate resident needs and changes to the primary care team.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of state approved Nursing Assistant Program for the state in which the facility operates
- Current certification and listing on the state Registry
- Resilience: ability to welcome constructive feedback, course correct and not take it personally
- Personability; ability to get along with all personality types and inspire trust with residents, staff, family
- Ability to actively listen, with the goal of understanding
- Ability to clearly speak and proficiently read, write and understand English
