Job Summary
Provide full-scope midwifery care including independent management of women's health, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and well-woman services. Manage hospital labor assessments, admissions, cervical ripening, inductions, and discharge while performing vaginal births, laceration repairs, limited OB ultrasounds, and serving as first surgical assist for C-sections. Insert and remove IUDs and subdermal contraceptive implants. Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians and specialists as clinically indicated and maintain medical records per community standards. Communicate respectfully with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team. Based in medical office and hospital settings in Castle Rock, CO.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nurse-Midwifery or Midwifery
- Current CNM certification
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado
- Current advanced practice nursing license/recognition for the State of Colorado with prescriptive authority
- CPR/BLS certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
- Active DEA registration
- Board certification
- Ability to provide care appropriate to the age and acuity of patients served
- Ability to counsel and educate patients and families on complex care issues
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a full-scope midwife
- Experience serving as C-section first assist
- Previous OB ultrasound training or experience
