Job Summary
Provide comprehensive reproductive health services, including prenatal, postpartum, and family planning care, well-woman exams, and contraceptive management. Perform colposcopies, interpret abnormal Pap results, and conduct cervical biopsies or endocervical curettage while diagnosing and managing gynecologic conditions. Collaborate with supervising physicians and participate in multidisciplinary case conferences to coordinate referrals and quality improvement initiatives. Educate patients on preventive care and treatment options to promote health equity and culturally competent outcomes in an outpatient clinic setting. Will be required to work some evenings.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Midwifery program
- Current Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
- Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
- DEA registration
- Current BLS/ACLS certifications
- Basic obstetrics and gynecology ultrasound skills
- Colposcopy training and certification
- Willingness to obtain colposcopy certification prior to start date
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife
- Experience providing care in ambulatory, community health, or FQHC settings
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse and underserved populations
- Proficiency in performing colposcopies and interpreting results
- Strong diagnostic and procedural skills
- Excellent patient communication and counseling abilities
- Commitment to culturally competent, trauma-informed care
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ability to work some evenings
