Job Summary
Certified Nurse Midwife with a current, unrestricted license to practice nurse-midwifery and AMCB certification provides outpatient and inpatient obstetrical/midwifery care to IHS patients at Gallup Indian Medical Center. The role supports short-term, locum tenens assignments with flexible tours (e.g., 12-, 8-, or 10-hour shifts), including nights, weekends, and holidays. Requires ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications, U.S. citizenship, and a minimum of 24 months of certified midwife experience. Must be competent in inpatient and outpatient obstetrical/midwifery care and willing to complete the federal security clearance process. Required Qualifications
- Current, valid, unrestricted license to practice nurse-midwifery in NM/DC/PR/territories
- Current certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
- U.S. citizen
- Minimum 24 months of experience as a certified midwife
- Competent in inpatient and outpatient obstetrical/midwifery care
- Willing to complete federal security clearance process
- Title 22 Indian Preference Exercised
