Certified Nurse Midwife, Obstetrics & Gynecology

Part-time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) providing inpatient obstetric coverage and outpatient OB/GYN clinic support at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. Role includes rotating 12-hour inpatient shifts (day or night) and outpatient clinic shifts, with a 30-hour weekly schedule (27 clinical, 3 administrative). Inpatient care spans antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and routine newborn care; inpatient unit staffed with 24/7 NICU and anesthesia, with an OB/GYN physician available for consultation. Outpatient duties occur at the 67 Corporate Drive, Portsmouth, NH site. Requires Master’s Degree in Nursing, CNM licensure, and NCC electronic fetal monitoring certification (or willingness to obtain within 1 year). Applicants must have completed at least 20 vaginal births in the past 12 months and be experienced in first-assisting Caesareans or complete additional training on hire. Provides prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care; orders/ interprets tests; prescribes medications as permitted; and delivers family planning services, including IUD insertion and contraceptive options.
