Job Summary
Provide prenatal, labor, and postpartum care for OB/GYN patients at Marin General Hospital and Marin Community Clinics. Manage normal childbirth, perform limited sonography, and conduct physical and clinical exams. Independently deliver low-risk patients, assist in C-sections, and manage complications until a physician arrives. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including amniotomy, IV administration, and episiotomy. Complete administrative tasks for Medi-Cal beneficiaries, maintain electronic health records, and provide telephone triage. Collaborate with hospitalists, mentor students, and participate in hospital committees. Work day shifts with 30 scheduled weekly hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing or public health (MSN, MPH)
- midwifery program approved by the American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM)
- current California RN license
- Certified Nurse Midwife license
- certified by the ACNM (or eligible)
- CA CNM Furnishing License
- Current BLS or ACLS certification from American Heart Association
- Surgical First Assist training certification for C-Section
- At least 3 years of experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife
- measles, mumps, varicella, and annual influenza immunizations
- COVID-19 vaccination/booster
Desired Qualifications
- Surgical First Assist training certification for C-Section
- First Trimester and Third Trimester Sonography training
- At least 3 years of experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife
