Certified Nurse Midwife

Provide full-scope nurse-midwifery services including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care, as well as well-woman care and family planning, with hospital-delivery privileges. Conduct history and physical examinations on new and returning clients; manage acute and chronic illnesses per protocol or with physician collaboration; provide follow-up care with other providers or community agencies; perform procedures such as colposcopy, contraceptive implant insertion/removal, IUD insertion/removal, and cryotherapy with appropriate training and privileging; and perform other duties as assigned. Collaborate with a collaborating physician to deliver primary health care within Erie Family Health Centers’ reproductive health team in Chicago, IL, at the Erie West Town Health Center. Competency in documentation and maintaining productivity to meet level-of-encounter targets is expected.
