Job Summary
Provide comprehensive primary care to women of all ages, including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological services within the clinic system. Perform patient histories, physicals, risk assessments, and order diagnostic tests while prescribing medications and family planning resources. Deliver health education on nutrition, wellness, and breastfeeding, collaborating with physicians on cases exceeding your scope of practice. Work independently with approved clinical privileges in an interdisciplinary team setting.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a specialty in Midwifery
- Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
- Current license to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Mississippi
- Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife
Desired Qualifications
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Experience with Electronic Health Record systems; eClinicalWorks or similar platforms
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Competency in obstetric ultrasound and fetal monitoring
- Strong clinical judgment with the ability to manage complex patients within scope of practice
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage empathetically with a diverse patient population
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with underserved, rural, or culturally diverse populations
- Proficiency in a second language common to the local Delta region
