Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate midwifery care for assigned patients while adhering to service expectations. Perform medical acts approved by the joint midwifery sub-committee of the NC Board of Nursing and NC Board of Medical Examiners. Maintain current North Carolina RN license, American Midwifery Certification Board certification, and NRP certification. Complete BCLS certification, ensuring American Heart Association certification within three months if not already held. No prior experience required; training provided to ensure proficiency within three months.
Required Qualifications
- Master's graduate of accredited School of Nursing
- completion of an approved post basic program of study
- clinical experience for Nurse-Midwifery
- Certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board
- current North Carolina RN license
- Approved to perform medical acts by the joint midwifery sub-committee of the NC Board of Nursing and NC Board of Medical Examiners
- NRP certification
- BCLS certification
- AHA certification within three months of employment date (if BCLS is not from AHA)
