Job Summary
Provide direct antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic patient services while acting as first assist in the Operating Room with surgical skills. Collaborate with physicians, support staff, and ancillary departments to deliver quality care, performing timely history and physical examinations. Maintain specialty competencies by staying current on new equipment, medications, and treatment modalities, and actively participate in departmental peer review, staff meetings, in-service education, and quality improvement processes. Required to work on-call. Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts weekly.
Required Qualifications
- Current Maryland State Nursing License
- Current Certification as a Nurse Midwife from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or other certifying body recognized by the Maryland Board of Nursing
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Current Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing
- Master's degree in Nurse Midwifery
- Two to three years' work experience in department specific areas
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Required to work on-call
- COVID-19 Vaccination
