Job Summary
The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) position involves full scope midwifery practices in a labor and delivery setting and ambulatory care. Responsibilities include conducting health assessments, managing care based on collaborative protocols, and providing support for various family needs. The role requires critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize in a busy environment. Candidates should hold an MSN and a certified Nurse-Midwife qualification, along with prior experience in nursing and labor/delivery settings. This is a collaborative role within a team of physicians and midwives.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an MSN and graduate level Certified Nurse-Midwife Program
- 1-2 years' experience as a CNM
- At least 2 years of nursing experience in labor and delivery
- License to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board
- BLS required per policy guidelines
