Job Summary
Provide individualized attention to residents in a long-term care environment, supporting care plans and assisting with grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, and transferring. Maintain resident comfort and privacy while promptly reporting changes in condition, abuse, or environmental deficiencies to the charge nurse. Perform assigned tasks including vital signs, skin integrity checks, and infection control procedures, and complete accurate records for activities of daily living. Answer call bells courteously and assist with appointments or orientation for new admissions.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- successful completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course
- other education which meets state certification requirements
- current Nursing Assistant Certifications in the state in which they are practicing
- Current CPR (American Heart Association)
