Job Summary
Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff, including taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, and changing linens. Obtain information on patient condition as requested and report any changes in status. Work day shifts from 6a to 7p with 0 scheduled weekly hours. Maintain Missouri CNA licensure or obtain it within 120 days of hire, with BLS certification required within 90 days. CoxHealth, serving 25 counties across southwest Missouri and northern Arkansas, supports this role within its Medical Unit 100.
Required Qualifications
- 3 months experience as a nursing assistant in an inpatient or long-term care setting
- EMT
- Surgical Technologist
- Completed an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within the past 3 years
- Completed the fundamentals of nursing course with clinical in an accredited nursing program or practical nursing education program
- Missouri CNA License
- MO CNA Appendix
- Must obtain MO CNA license within 120 days of hire
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valuable time management skills
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
- BLS (must be obtained within 90 days)
