Job Summary
Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff, including taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, and changing linens. Obtain information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff and report any changes. Perform these duties during a 24-hour day shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Complete required training modules and pass a competency assessment to validate learning. Obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire and a Missouri CNA license within 120 days.
Required Qualifications
- 3 months experience as a nursing assistant in an inpatient or long-term care setting, EMT, or Surgical Technologist in the past 3 years
- Completed an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within the past 3 years
- Completed the fundamentals of nursing course with clinical in an accredited nursing program or practical nursing education program
- Must have Missouri CNA License
- Must have MO CNA Appendix AND MO CNA license must be obtained within 120 days of hire
- BLS must be obtained within 90 days
- Is available for work on a consistent and timely basis
- Conscientious, thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks
