Job Summary
Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff by taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, and changing linens. Obtain information on patient condition as requested and report any changes immediately. Complete training in a classroom and clinical learning environment to validate competency before independent practice. Maintain Missouri CNA licensure or obtain it within 120 days of hire and ensure BLS certification is obtained within 90 days. Work day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM with a consistent schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 3 months experience as a nursing assistant in an inpatient or long-term care setting, EMT, or Surgical Technologist in the past 3 years
- Completed an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within the past 3 years
- Completed the fundamentals of nursing course with clinical in an accredited nursing program or practical nursing education program
- Must have Missouri CNA License
- Must have MO CNA Appendix
- MO CNA license must be obtained within 120 days of hire
- BLS must be obtained within 90 days
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
