Certified Nurse Assistant, Nurse Assistant, or Trainee - Day Shift - 800 Ortho-Neuro

Job Summary
Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff by taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, and changing linens. Obtain information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff and report any changes in patient condition. Perform these duties during a 36-hour day shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM on the 800 Ortho-Neuro unit. Candidates must have a Missouri CNA license or complete training within 120 days of hire. This role supports CoxHealth's Level I Stroke and Trauma Center, which treats complex conditions including stroke, trauma, and neurosurgical cases for a diverse patient population ranging from 18 to 102 years old.
Required Qualifications
- 3 months experience as a nursing assistant in an inpatient or long-term care setting, EMT, or Surgical Technologist in the past 3 years
- Completed an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within the past 3 years
- Completed the fundamentals of nursing course with clinical in an accredited nursing program or practical nursing education program
- Must have Missouri CNA License
- Must have MO CNA Appendix
- MO CNA license must be obtained within 120 days of hire
- BLS must be obtained within 90 days
