Job Summary
Certified Nurse Assistant role providing paraprofessional home health/hospice care. Responsibilities include following the RN-developed care plan, reporting client changes to the RN, assisting with meals and light housekeeping, measuring and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure), performing range of motion and simple procedures as guided by therapy services, assisting with equipment safety, helping with activities per the personal care plan (including ostomy or external catheter care), and documenting services in accordance with agency policy. Requires High School diploma or GED, Michigan CNA licensure, federally compliant training, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, and at least one year of related aide experience. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Completion of federally compliant training program as required by law/regulation and successful completion of a competency evaluation program
- Licensed CNA within the State of Michigan
- Must have current Driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work site
- Documentation of one year’s employment as an aide in an institution, home care, or hospice setting
- Meets agency hiring criteria as defined in agency minimum standards (e.g. provision of professional references)
- Ability to consistently demonstrate the Organizational Core Competencies and Organizational Code of Ethics and adhere to the Compliance Program
