Job Summary
Inpatient Certified Nurse Assistant provides direct patient care under RN supervision, performing vital signs, glucose monitoring, and ADL assistance; maintains orderly patient rooms; documents in the Electronic Health Record; observes patient conditions and reports changes; ensures safety and supportive environment; maintains Kansas CNA and BLS certifications; participates in unit activities and staff meetings; available for 12-hour shifts in days; reports to Inpatient Manager; must meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 pounds and long periods of standing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Nurse Assistant certification in good standing within the State of Kansas
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- One-year CNA experience in an acute care facility or with acute care patients
- Prefer orthopedic, neurological or critical care experience
