Job Summary
Deliver patient care activities of daily living under registered nurse supervision while assessing patient status to identify specific needs. Prioritize and administer treatments effectively, participating in treatment plan maintenance and discharge planning with the care team. Document data collection, interventions, and evaluations accurately and timely, communicating patient information to appropriate personnel. Serve as an advocate for patients and families regarding care decisions. Enlist licensed staff assistance for skill performance and plan initiation as indicated. Maintain CNA certification and function within the team to provide safe, effective care in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
- Must be Certified or eligible for Nurse Aide Certification
- Must have CNA Certification
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the needs of the patient
- Must be able to function in role to assist the licensed practical nurse in the provision of technical and environmental patient care activities as delegated by and under the supervision of the licensed staff
