Job Summary
Perform patient care for pediatric, geriatric, and general populations, including morning and evening routines, hygiene, and mobility assistance. Monitor vital signs, document intake-output, and respond to call lights while transporting patients for tests. Administer basic nursing care such as positioning, feeding, and equipment use within the CNA II scope of practice. Report pain, condition changes, and complaints to supervising RN and LVN staff. Maintain infection control, participate in care conferences, and complete mandatory inservices and annual reviews. Respond to on-call requests within 30 minutes and adjust shifts to meet department demands. Treat patients and families with dignity while ensuring safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Current certification as a Nurse Aide in the state of Texas
- Previous hospital or nursing home aide experience
- Medical terminology as it relates to job
