Job Summary
Provide hands-on resident care as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include answering call lights, turning and repositioning residents, aiding with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, mobility), reviewing dietary restrictions and allergies, recording intake and output, and reporting changes in resident condition to nursing staff. Must hold an active Utah CNA certification and communicate effectively with residents and staff. Familiarity with nursing practices, procedures, and regulatory requirements for long-term care is required. Nursing tuition reimbursement program available for eligible staff; full-time and part-time positions with varied shifts (day, swing, night) are offered.
Required Qualifications
- Active CNA Certification in good standing issued by the state of Utah
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, personnel, visitors, etc.
- Ability to make independent decisions when warranted
- Knowledge of medical and nursing practices and procedures
- Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to long term care
