Job Summary
Provide daily supportive and functional care to residents according to established community care procedures. Maintain residents' comfort by assisting with activities of daily living, handling personal care needs, and responding to call lights. Observe residents closely to identify changing needs and conditions, then report observations to nursing leadership. Actively participate in care/service plans, assist with mealtimes, and support residents' involvement in decision-making regarding daily activities. Create meaningful relationships with residents and families while documenting all care provided in clinical records. Maintain a clean and safe environment and assist with therapies under the direction of licensed staff.
Required Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Missouri)
- Current CNA certification (Illinois)
- Enrollment, or eligibility for enrollment within 120 days of completion of the training program, on the Pennsylvania nurse aide registry
- Must be able to communicate with residents
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to push/pull 45 lbs
- Is willing to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience with direct patient/resident care preferable
