Job Summary
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) needed to provide around-the-clock personal care and home-health support in clients' homes. Responsibilities include hygiene and daily living assistance (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, transferring with gait belt, Hoyer lift, sliding board), meal setup, ambulation, turning and positioning, light housekeeping and laundry, accompanying clients to appointments, documenting intake/output, glucose and vitals, home exercises and range-of-motion activities, and maintaining a clean, safe patient area in line with HIPAA. Must report changes to the charge nurse. Requires completion of a nursing assistant course or equivalent, high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/AED and First Aid, and a TB test; prior hospital/home-health/skill-facility experience with references preferred. Strong customer service and teamwork skills are essential, with the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of a nursing assistant course or the equivalent
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR FIRST/ AID & AED (American heart Association only)
- TB test result
- Previous hospital, home health and or skilled facility experience with acceptable references preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds and up
