Job Summary
Provide quality resident care within the CNA scope of practice, including ADL assistance, hygiene, grooming, and meal prep/transport. Document care accurately and promptly, report changes in condition immediately, and maintain resident comfort and safety. Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges, while participating in person-centered care planning and reviewing daily care plans. Follow infection prevention, PPE, and safety procedures, clean care equipment, and report hazards or defective items. Maintain current Texas CNA certification and complete assigned competencies. Requires current Texas CNA license, high school diploma, and ability to lift 25 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Current Texas CNA license/certification in good standing
- Ability to provide age-appropriate care and follow standards of practice
- Strong communication, teamwork and professionalism with residents, families, and staff
- Comfort working with challenging behaviors
- Able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds to a minimum height of five feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty feet
- Assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year experience in a skilled nursing facility
