Job Summary
Monitor vital signs, assist with daily living needs including bathing and bedpan use, and safely lift or reposition residents. Follow the care plan to ensure resident well-being while providing emotional support, sharing stories, and observing behavioral changes to alert shift leaders. Transport residents as needed and contribute to community harmony through meaningful connections. Maintain infection control protocols and communicate verbally with residents, families, and co-workers. Current Texas Nurse Aide Certification and CPR certification required; minimum one-year related experience preferred. Occasional, as-needed shifts available at Ventana by Buckner in Dallas, TX.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Current Texas Nurse Aide Certification
- Current CPR Certification
- Ability to read, write and understand business documents which are written in English
- Ability to communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors and co-workers
- Ability to make self clearly understood by others
- Ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions
- Working knowledge of basic health care practices and procedures, including infection control
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum one-year related experience preferred, or appropriate formal education or Buckner training
- A friendly attitude and a servant's heart
