Job Summary
Provide personal care to residents including grooming, bathing, catheter care, pericare, and dressing while following care policy guidelines. Maintain the resident environment by changing linens and stocking supplies. Support mobility by safely ambulating and transferring residents with proper body mechanics. Accurately document vitals, weights, intake/output, and meal consumption. Assist with positioning and routinely turn residents for comfort and safety. Encourage engagement by leading range of motion exercises and providing reality orientation as directed.
Required Qualifications
- Holds a current Nursing Assistant Certification from the State of Texas
- Able to accurately record information and perform technical procedures
- Good communication and patience
- Cares for elderly and individuals with disabilities
- Understands and upholds Patient Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities
- Follows safety policies and procedures
