Job Summary
Certified MRI Technologist in an outpatient imaging setting performing MR examinations with GE equipment, contributing to high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient-centered care. The role emphasizes collaboration within a team, adherence to licensure and credentialing requirements, and maintaining ongoing CE; offers a three-day flex schedule with rotating weekends in a union environment and a sign-on bonus. On-site presence required with commutable distance to NYP; includes opportunities for new graduates and emphasis on safety, precision, and clinical excellence.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
- New York State Radiology license in Radiography and maintain current New York State registration in Radiography
- Must possess New York State certification for intravascular contrast media injection or obtain such certification within six (6) months of hire or transfer
- Must possess current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in Radiography (R)
- Must possess current ARRT certification and registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR), or, if not currently held, must satisfy ARRT eligibility requirements and obtain ARRT certification and registration in MRI within six (6) months of hire or transfer
- Must maintain all required continuing education and renewal requirements for New York State and ARRT credentials
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficient in EMR, RIS, HIS, PACS, Modality specific software
