Job Summary
Maintain all mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers, chains, bearings, and hydraulic systems by performing preventative and predictive maintenance. Inspect equipment to detect irregularities, troubleshoot issues, and implement safe, creative fixes to boost reliability and streamline processes. Share technical knowledge with apprentices and contribute to a high-performance team focused on sustainable OSB production.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Red Seal Millwright
- Experience working as a Millwright or Machinist
- valid Millwright Interprovincial Ticket
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems
- Ability to read blueprints, plans and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Commitment to working safely
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Desired Qualifications
- JD Edwards
- Previous experience in a forest products environment
