Job Summary
Provide outpatient OB/GYN, prenatal, and postpartum care, including well-woman exams, STI screening, contraception counseling, and perimenopause management. Perform verified office procedures such as IUD insertion, endometrial biopsy, and colposcopy when credentialed. Order and interpret diagnostic testing, manage referrals, and ensure timely chart completion and result follow-through. Collaborate with physicians and midwives to escalate higher-risk conditions and coordinate hospital handoffs. Maintain continuity of care across outpatient, prenatal, and postpartum settings with a defined Brooklyn schedule.
Required Qualifications
- New York-licensed certified nurse-midwives
- New York-certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioners
- Experienced New York-certified Family Nurse Practitioners with substantial recent outpatient OB/GYN and prenatal-care experience
- Active and unrestricted New York midwifery license and registration
- Graduate education in midwifery or nurse-midwifery
- Appropriate prescriptive authority
- DEA registration or eligibility
- Current BLS certification
- Payer and malpractice credentialing eligibility
- Active New York RN license and registration
- Active New York Women's Health NP certification and registration
- Applicable national board certification
- Graduate NP education
- At least two years of dedicated recent outpatient OB/GYN or women's-health experience
- Meaningful routine prenatal-care experience
- Verifiable gynecologic and contraception competency
- Strong recent OB/GYN references
- Ability to perform the proposed duties lawfully under the candidate's certification
- Payer and malpractice approval for the proposed scope
- Active New York RN license and registration
- Active New York Family Health NP certification and registration
- At least two years of dedicated outpatient women's-health, OB/GYN or midwifery experience
- Meaningful experience providing routine prenatal care
- Demonstrated ability to recognize and escalate higher-risk conditions
- Strong results-management and documentation practices
- Ability to work consistently at the Brooklyn clinic
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Consistent fulfillment of the agreed schedule
- Sound clinical judgment
- Appropriate physician consultation and escalation
- Safe prenatal management and handoff
- Respectful communication with patients and staff
- Responsible patient-panel development
- Timely chart and result completion
- Appropriate coding support for personally performed services
