Job Summary
Certified Medication Technician position responsible for administering medications to residents under physician orders, under the direction of nursing leadership. Responsibilities include accurate measurement, recording and reporting of residents' vital signs, documenting drug administration as required, reporting any medication errors or adverse reactions, and following facility procedures for medication management and resident records. Requires a high school education or equivalent and state-approved licensed medication technician certification. Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary care setting are essential. The role supports rehabilitation, memory care, and skilled nursing within a senior living facility and includes benefits such as PTO, health benefits, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
- Must be a licensed medication tech having successfully completed a state-approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with laws of this State.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff members.
