Job Summary

Administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician or nurse supervisor, ensuring all procedures and facility policies are followed. Accurately measure, record, and report vital signs, while documenting drug receipt errors with signed observer reports. Note and report any medication administration errors or resident reactions promptly to the Charge Nurse, Nurse Supervisor, or Director of Nursing Services. Assist in developing procedures to determine medication error causes and implement prevention strategies. Complete necessary forms, charts, and reports as required. Maintain licensure as a state-approved medication technician with high school education. Work evenings in the Jefferson City area with flexible scheduling and benefits including PTO, health coverage, and tuition reimbursement.

Required Qualifications

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
  • Must be a licensed medication tech having successfully completed a state-approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with laws of this State.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff members.
