Job Summary
Administer medications to residents under supervision and report/record all medication-related activities. Responsibilities include documenting drug administration, measuring and recording vital signs, identifying and reporting errors, developing and implementing procedures to prevent errors, completing necessary forms and reports, and maintaining compliant documentation in the resident’s clinical records. Requires high school education or equivalent and licensure as a medication tech with state-approved training; strong communication and interpersonal skills are needed for interdisciplinary care with residents, families, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
- Must be a licensed medication tech having successfully completed a state-approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with laws of this State.
