Job Summary
Administer medications to residents under nursing direction, documenting doses and monitoring for side effects. Provide medical and physical care, assist with personal needs and mealtimes, and support activities of daily living while maintaining resident dignity. Observe residents for changing conditions, report findings to staff, and participate in care plans. Handle incoming calls and maintain meaningful relationships with residents and families. Ensure privacy compliance and follow safety protocols, reporting hazardous conditions immediately. Document vital signs in electronic health records. May serve as administrator designee when authorized.
Required Qualifications
- Current CMT certification in the state of practice
- High-school diploma or GED
- Successful completion of Personal Care DHS Medication Administration Course
- CPR certification and first aid training
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to push/pull 45 lbs
- Willing to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary
