Job Summary
Administer medications to residents safely and accurately via oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous routes in accordance with physician orders and facility policies. Observe residents for medication responses, document administration, and promptly report adverse reactions to nursing staff. Assist with basic resident care under licensed nursing direction while ensuring proper medication storage, security, and accounting. Maintain accurate documentation of all medication activities and collaborate with the care team to promote resident-centered health outcomes. Full-time and part-time shifts available, including 3 pm–11 pm, with competitive hourly pay and daily pay options.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Medication Technician/Aide Certification in the state of employment
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/HHA)
- Previous Certified Medication Technician (CMT) experience
- Experience in administering oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic medications, and subcutaneous injections
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow clinical instructions accurately and consistently
- Ability to work effectively with multiple residents in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment
