Job Summary
Certified Medication Technician (CMT) delivers quality care to patients during admission/readmission in accordance with Life Care standards and applicable laws. The role requires administering and documenting oral/topical medications, adhering to medication orders, reporting errors promptly, performing CNA functions as directed, and maintaining professional relationships and confidentiality. Must be a high school graduate, CNA program graduate, licensed in the state, with CPR current, and have completed the State-approved CMT program. The position emphasizes patient safety, regulatory compliance, teamwork, and consistent attendance; ability to read/write/speak English and to perform physical tasks (standing, walking, lifting, etc.) is required. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a State approved CNA program
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State; active license in good standing
- One year geriatric nursing experience preferred
- CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; CPR must remain current
- Completed a State approved program and exam for Certified Medication Technician
