Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining vital signs, and assisting with transfers and range of motion exercises. Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse, collect non-invasive body fluid specimens, and document outcomes related to care, medication administration, behavior, activity, and dietary needs. Support residents with food preparation and dining while encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs. Maintain all required certifications, including CNA and state-approved Certified Medication Aide/Assistant training, and complete annual competency testing. Full-time role with 32 weekly hours, varying day and evening shifts, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Must be CNA and UMA certified
- Must have the state required certified/trained medication aide certification (CMA or TMA)
- Active certified nursing assistant registration in state of practice, or ability to obtain within 120 days, is required
- Must successfully complete the state approved Certified Medication Aide (CMA) course
- CNA certification must be maintained with the State Board of Nursing
- Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Medication Aide/Assistant course once CNA certification is obtained
- Must have nursing assistant certification
- Must have completed the 75-hour course and be registered with the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
- Successful completion of a state-approved Trained Medication Assistant course
- Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance (when applicable)
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Minimum age of 18 preferred
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
