Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under charge nurse supervision, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs recording, and psycho-social support. Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse while documenting outcomes, behavior, and dietary changes. Assist with transfers, re-positioning, walking, and range of motion exercises. Support food preparation, dining, and recreational programs while maintaining clean living areas. Complete tasks related to non-invasive specimen collection and wellness documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Must be CNA and UMA certified
- Must have the state required certified/trained medication aide certification (CMA or TMA)
- Active certified nursing assistant registration in state of practice, or ability to obtain within 120 days, is required
- Must successfully complete the state approved Certified Medication Aide (CMA) course
- CNA certification must be maintained with the State Board of Nursing
- Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Medication Aide/Assistant course once CNA certification is obtained
- Must have nursing assistant certification
- Must have completed the 75-hour course and be registered with the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
- Successful completion of a state-approved Trained Medication Assistant course
- Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Minimum age of 18 preferred
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
