Job Summary
The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) provides high-quality direct care to residents, administering medications and treatments under the supervision of a nurse. Responsibilities include ensuring resident dignity, safety, and wellbeing while upholding care standards. The CMA is part of an interdisciplinary team that promotes functional independence and provides basic nursing and restorative services. Candidates must complete a state-approved Nursing Assistant Program, have current certification, and complete Medication Administration training.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of state approved Nursing Assistant Program
- Current certification and listing on the state Registry
- Completion of a standardized Medication Administration training program
- Current certification and listing on the state Registry
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in skilled nursing and/or assisted living community.
